Emme was a superstar throughout the whole photo shoot. She didn't fuss once; not even when we put a brain bow on her! (What's a brainbow you ask? Stick with me and see for yourself!)
Emme is a total kicking machine. When pregnant, I always said she would be a gymnast or a kickboxer, and she still kicks like crazy! This shot was not an easy one to get, but Marie of A Day In The Life Photography (http://www.marietaylor612.typepad.com/adayinthelifephotography/) is persistant and snapped at the perfect moment. I love it!
Emerson LOVED to be swaddled. Not so much anymore though. I think she takes after me, kicking the sheets off every night!
Da DA DA DAAAAAA!!!!! I give you, the brain bow. Even though she has a TON of hair, she doesn't have enough for a hair band, so it is more of a bow on the brain. A brain bow. I thank Marie for that term. Anywho, this pic is classic. She has attitude written all over her face. This is a chick not to be messed with.
The best part of this pic, other than the sheer adorableness of it, is the fact that about 3 seconds later Barry got peed on... all over... My sister, Annisa, had the most classic pic ever of her son peeing on her face as she lifted his naked little self over her head. Barry's response, "You people are stupid. Why would anyone take a picture of a naked baby? You know they would pee and poop everywhere!" hee hee... it's so worth it though, don't ya think?
I can't get over how tiny she was! She looks even smaller next to my swollen hand! ha! Thank goodness they are finally back to normal!
This picture is so magical to me. I guess magical is the word I want, I don't know how to explain it. It just reminds me of mushrooms and fairies and magic. Don't ask me why, it just does.Well, hopefully with this post I'll get back into the swing of things. I will definitely post more recent pics, I have some cute videos, new layouts, and some recipes that are to die for. (Think Oreos and Ice Cream and homemade fudge and... well, you'll just have to wait...)
Grammy and Pappy, we miss you and can't wait to see you soon! Until then, enjoy the pics!

Becky! These photos are adorable. I love the one of the three of you, it brought tears to my eyes. I can't wait to see you soon so we can scrap and I can hold this little adorable beauty!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Julie! Thanks! We were discussing getting together next week. Any days work for you? I'm anxious to hear all about Paris!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! She is growing SO fast - slow down, Emme!
ReplyDeleteOh, and you can tell Barry that Dixon didn't pee on my face. He peed on my chest. Not that it makes much difference. ;) You're not a parent until you've caught the body fluids of your offspring in your hands and worn them on your clothes!
Did my comment go thru?
ReplyDeleteHmm, well first I gushed about how adorable your daughter is and then I said how your story about the pee made me lol and blow my coer since it's 5 am and I'm sneaking some computer time because I can't sleep.
She really is beautiful!
Awww! I was thinking of magic in that last picture too. She's in her little basket just like fairies dropped her on your doorstep.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that she peed on your husband, hehehe. :-) Fun pictures and love your site!
Dandy: The comment didn't go through, but... 5 am?!?! You need your sleep! But I'm glad I was able to entertain you in your insomnia! :)
ReplyDeleteDate Girl: I agree! She seems like she is in a fairy tale. We should have put a gnome in the background! ha!
